As far as I'm concerned the globalisation has as many supporters as opponents. There are myriads of international organisations existing nowadays such as the European Union or the United Nations. Almost all countries take part in the economic summits in order to influence the international situation.
Nevertheless, there are many sceptics claiming that globalisation is destroying the national identity. Not long ago Poland joined the European Union. Frankly speaking the situation has not changed significantly as some were expecting. Especially agriculturalists were against our accession. They attempted to force the government to change its plans. Furthermore, there are still some concerns regarding our self-esteem, our features and specialities as far as Polish cuisine is concerned.
The most important issue for our nation is to maintain our national traditions, stick to our rules. We have been always admired for our strong patriotism. Why cant we show it to everyone. We ought to be proud of ourselves and try to go by to the rule: Do as you would be done by. - meaning treat others as we would like to be treated by them. We cant stand a chance of losing this perfect occasion to show off and reveal the best Polish qualities. We have to face the music there is no way bad. We have to strongly believe in success otherwise we may fail - but when there is a will there is a way so we have to go for it, and our national identity will survive.
